Dan River, Summer 2015

Welcome to the North Carolina River Kayak Routes website!

This website was built to put information together for those who seek to paddle down local rivers in North Carolina.  The sections of river contained within this site comes from personal kayaking experiences and trips as well as some historical and pertinent research from other various websites.

So far, we have navigated the sections of the Dan river from Jessup’s Mill in Lawsonville North Carolina all the way to Leaksville Landing in Eden North Carolina, the Uwharrie River from High Pine Church Road in Asheboro North Carolina to the Hwy 109 Bridge in Eldorado as well as one section of the Deep River from McIver Landing to Deep River Park.  All of the segments listed are rated between Class I and Class II rapids, but most all are Class I.

As we travel down different rivers and explore new routes, we will add those sections and information to this website for others to reference.

We truly hope that the information and content within the website is helpful as you plan your next kayaking trip!
